Project Auditing
Acting independently of the project team, the project auditor’s role is to ensure the correct project procedures are in place and adhered to for all aspects of the project, from its strategy to financial control.
Project Monitoring
This service to funding institutions essentially splits into two phases:
PRE-CONTRACT PHASE
– involving due diligence on the developer’s proposals, ensuring that the scheme meets current market requirements. Specific advice is given on planning, responsibilities, warranties, design and specification, programme, tendering, local authority agreements, etc.
CONTRACT PHASE
– requiring monitoring of construction progress and associated items to completion. Monthly reports detail actual progress, performance, quality, payments required, statutory works, certifications, etc. On completion, health and safety files are received and verified, snagging checked and final accounts approved.
Development Management
We take on full responsibility for the delivery of a completed development, from initial stages to completion and handover.
This will include site identification, appointing and liaising with agents, lawyers, landowners, authorities and occupiers, the selection and appointment of the professional team and ultimately the delivery of the project to the satisfaction of the client.
Contract Administration / Employer's Agent
A role for individuals with strong management skills and a detailed knowledge of construction processes, hence one in which we perform particularly well.
Becoming, in effect, the surrogate client and running the construction phase of the development, we administer the procedures detailed within the various contracts to reflect the procurement route appropriate to the project.
Risk Management
We offer a comprehensive risk management service, including:
Risk audits
Risk assessments
Management of remedial works
System design
Policy and procedures development
Training of staff
Follow-up reviews and re-assessments
Our responsibility extends both to the identification and management of the uncertainty associated with development and construction, as well as other significant and specialist areas, including:
CDM Regulation
Water supply regulations
Fire issues
Access and Egress issues
Change Management
Independent advice in managing and facilitating the change in processes and techniques within the property and construction environment through the appropriate application of ‘best practice’.
