Hazeldine Retail Park
Shrewsbury
We are providing Project Management Services to Shropshire Council for the Hazeldine Retail Park development at Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, managing the scheme from the planning stage through to construction and completion. The project will transform the former Pitch and Putt site into a commercial development comprising a five-unit retail building, a KFC drive-thru, and a Starbucks drive-thru, being delivered by Morris Property Ltd. Our role includes overall planning, coordination and progress monitoring, leading regular project meetings, and managing actions, risks and stakeholder communication to support efficient and well controlled delivery.
Asda Stores Ltd

Rose has worked with Asda since 1997, following selection into their partnering framework. Throughout this period, we have actively contributed to improving speed of delivery and reducing cost through innovation and continuous improvement.
Build times for new stores has reduced from 27 weeks (from commencement of steel) to as little as 17 weeks, and considerable cost savings have been realised through challenging the brief and value engineering.
Working with other consultants we have developed best practice documents and processes that have facilitated these results including snag free handovers and minimal disruption to trading stores.
To date, Rose has successfully completed in excess of 130 projects, including new builds, developer shell schemes, extensions, refurbishments and petrol filling stations.
Ropewalk
Nuneaton
The redevelopment of Nuneaton Town Centre included 20,000 square metres of retail space on two floors, around a central mall with provision for 500 cars in a new multi-storey car park. Tenants include TK Maxx, Next and JJB.

Somerfield Plc
Nationwide
Somerfield appointed Rose as one of three companies to provide Consultant Project Management Services nationwide.
The appointment formed an integral part of the restructuring, which Somerfield implemented in their property services department – the intention being to create a greater retail focus on the delivery of their format store in an ongoing rollout across their chain.
The appointment called on the retail experience and expertise of Rose to provide consistent solutions to each project, allowing Somerfield to concentrate on core business activities, and ensure smooth delivery with minimum disruption.
B&Q
Aylesbury
This B&Q Superstore is part of the Vale Hundreds Retail Park. The development is on the site of old railway sidings, necessitating extensive land remediation works. Rose acted as Project Manager and Cost Consultant, taking responsibility for delivering the project on time and to budget.
The role included extensive liaison with the incoming tenant, from assisting the developer in agreeing the Agreement for Lease and managing tenants’ changes during the construction process. Dealing with adjoining owners, both before and during construction, ensured a smooth transition from derelict land to one of Aylesbury’s premier retail destinations.
Gretna Gateway Outlet Village
Gretna
Phase one of the project comprised the construction of a new designer outlet village of approximately 6,000 square metres. The village-style pedestrianised mall includes a total of 40 stores of top quality fashion names including Ralph Lauren, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger.
The outlet is supplemented by restaurants, children’s play area and themed visitor centre, with parking for 750 cars and more than 30 coaches.
Rose was appointed as Project Managers and Cost Consultants for the scheme, delivering the project on time and within budget.
Already recognised as Scotland’s premier outlet village, it will be supplemented by a further 3,700 square metres, following completion of Phase 2.
